Sun Moon Lake Photo Gallery

Sun Moon Lake is surrounded by green mountains, and is the pearl of Central Taiwan. Sun Moon Lake is the largest natural lake in Taiwan. The Eastern part of the lake is round like the sun, while the Western part is shaped like a crescent moon – hence the name “Sun Moon Lake”.

Sun Moon Lake is probably the second most visited tourist destination in Taiwan after Taipei. With such serene settings its easy to understand why. A beautiful lake, lush greenery and breathtaking sunsets and sunrises.

Conference Venue & Accommodation

SUN MOON LAKE TEACHERS' HOSTEL
日月潭教师会馆

At Sun Moon Lake, hotels can be that expensive. Sun Moon Lake Teachers’ Hostel is a proper hotel, not typical room-sharing hostel, offers good value for money. The lobby of the hotel has a institutional feel like in a university hall of residence and some of the hotel rooms offer lake views. The hotel is a 15-minute walk up the hill from the village. Single female travellers without transport should be aware that parts of the walk are isolated and dark at night. Travel sites such as lonelyplant.com selected this as one of the recommended hotels in Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area.

Conference Venue: Sun Moon Lake Teachers’ Hostel, 55548 No.136, Zhongxing Rd., Yuchi Township, Nantou County 555, Taiwan (R.O.C.), TEL (Booking):(049)2855991-5, FAX: (049)2855419 ; Website: http://www.smlthotel.com.tw
